JOB TITLE: Avionics Bench Test Technician
LOCATION: Tustin, CA
PAY RATE: $40-50/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Develop avionics test benches per engineering specifications and requirements

  • Maintain and troubleshoot lab hardware

  • Assemble aircraft wiring harnesses

  • Work with prototype hardware, including assembly, rework, and modification

  • Assemble circuit boards, breadboard circuits, and deadbug circuits

  • Perform PCB design for prototypes and lab hardware

  • Maintain and organize avionics lab equipment

  • Manage checkout and maintenance of lab hardware

  • Maintain and stock electrical component parts kits

  • Assemble or modify electronic flight hardware

  • Implement process improvements for lab hardware maintenance

Requirements:

  • HS Diploma or GED

  • 3+ years of relevant avionics or electrical technician experience

  • Strong troubleshooting skills for electronics and lab hardware

  • Experience with aircraft wiring harness assembly

  • Ability to assemble circuit boards, breadboard circuits, and deadbug circuits

  • Experience with prototype hardware assembly, rework, and modification

  • Ability to perform PCB design for prototypes and lab hardware

  • Experience assembling or modifying electronic flight hardware

  • Familiarity with avionics test bench design

  • Knowledge of electrical component stocking and inventory systems

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Highly organized and process-driven

  • Good written communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and follow engineering documentation

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
