Summary: 

• We are seeking an experienced Aviation Buyer with expertise in aircraft parts procurement and inventory control.

• Sourcing, organizing, and distributing parts and materials while ensuring compliance with FAA regulations.

• Candidates must have aviation parts purchasing experience, a solid work history, and the ability to work in a dynamic, contract-to-hire position.

• Source and procure aircraft parts and materials for maintenance and inventory.

• Build and maintain vendor relationships to secure competitive pricing and quality service.

• Provide quotes while maintaining profit margins and manage purchase orders.

• Monitor and ensure timely delivery of outside services.

• Perform receiving inspections and process core returns per FAA regulations.

• Conduct regular inventory checks, cycle counts, and maintain min/max requirements.

• Ensure parts and materials meet FAA standards (calibration, certification, shelf life).

• Assign and bill parts accurately to work orders.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the parts department.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma required.

• Experience in aviation parts procurement and inventory control, with knowledge of corporate aircraft parts (e.g., Gulfstream, Cessna, Bombardier, Embraer).

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ability to learn company software.

• Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.

• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.

• This position requires a candidate located in the Van Nuys/Los Angeles area who is ready to contribute to a fast-paced aviation environment.
