JOB TITLE: Assembly Technician - Solder JSTD
LOCATION: Oldsmar, FL

Contract Length: 12 months (with potential extension)

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:
Inspect and align parts under a microscope before and after soldering.
Identify and correct solder defects, including voids, bridges, shorts, and misalignments.
Operate Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) equipment to detect real vs. false defects.
Read and follow assembly instructions and identify standard SMT components.
Perform rework using hot air pencils, hot plates, and BGA removal tools (ERSA or similar).
Solder and secure jumper wires on redesign boards (preferred).
Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with potential overtime.
Maintain focus on detailed, repetitive tasks while seated for extended periods.
Requirements:
Candidate must be an expert-level solder technician or operator with hands-on experience using rework equipment and working with surface mount components.
Minimum of 5 years of soldering experience in a manufacturing environment is required. Candidates with less experience will not be considered.
6+ years of experience preferred, with strong proficiency in SMT soldering and rework techniques.
IPC-A-610 and IPC J-STD-001 certification (active or expired) required.
