JOB TITLE: Assembly Technician (C01XN3)
LOCATION: Kinston, NC
PAY RATE: $34/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Assemble and install parts and assemblies per blueprints, specifications, and work orders

  • Perform manual and automated assembly operations, including use of hand tools, power tools, jigs, and shop equipment

  • Drill, seal, install fasteners, countersink, varnish, and paint components as required

  • Perform sub-assembly and structural assembly/installation tasks

  • Conduct continuity checks and basic functional testing on assemblies and subassemblies

  • Inspect work to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications

  • Disassemble, modify, rework, and reassemble components as needed, including prototype units

  • Use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances

  • Document discrepancies and support corrective actions per process requirements

  • Move materials, parts, and assemblies within the production area and complete required transactions

  • Perform routine minor machine maintenance (filters, lubrication, coolant levels, etc.)

  • Support production flow by assisting and training team members as needed

Requirements:

  • Experience with assembly/installation of structures and sub-assemblies

  • Proficiency in drilling, sealing, fastening, countersinking, varnishing, and painting

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documentation

  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards

  • Ability to perform rework, fabrication, and modification tasks

  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Skills: 

  • Experience with aircraft structures or aerospace assembly

  • Familiarity with quality inspection processes and testing procedures

  • Experience working on prototype or experimental builds
