Job Description

JOB TITLE: Assembler - Solder Rework IPC-A-610 - 1st Shift
LOCATION: Oldsmar, FL
PAY RATE: Up to $26/hour

Job Details:

  • Contract Length: 12 months (with potential extension)

  • Shift: Monday – Thursday, 5 AM – 3:30 PM EST.

Summary: 

  • Perform SMT component rework and modifications per Engineering Change Orders.

  • Inspect assemblies to meet IPC-A-610 quality standards, identifying component and soldering defects.

  • Modify and repair products per documentation and procedures.

  • Work with fine-pitch solder on component boards.

  • Ensure accuracy by following BOMs, Engineering Change Orders, and process work orders.

  • Remove and replace PTH and SMT components, including resistors, capacitors, diodes, ICs, transistors, switches, fuses, connectors, transformers, inductors, and LEDs.

  • Utilize standard work documentation, diagrams, and instructions to rework units.

  • Maintain high-quality standards and ensure product accuracy.

  • Identify deviations from standard practices and communicate accordingly.

  • Maintain prompt and regular attendance to ensure workflow efficiency.

  • Perform additional duties as required for quality assurance.

Requirements:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access).

  • Experience with IPC-A-610 standards and high-volume assembly/inspection.

  • Self-motivated team player in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment.

  • Experience with SMT fine-pitch components (lead width < 50 mil) and proper flux application.

  • Prior CCA soldering or similar experience required.

  • Must read/write English and pass a medical exam per supplier guidelines.

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
