Job Title: Aerospace Structures Mechanic

Pay Rate: $20-60/hr, depending on location and experience.

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

  • Perform precision drilling, reaming, installation, and removal of components in critical structural areas, including blind holes.

  • Apply sealants, paint, and preservation materials in accordance with standard repair procedures.

  • Interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, and specifications to complete structural repairs and modifications.

  • Use tooling assemblies and fixtures to support depot-level structural modifications.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience performing heavy structural work on aircraft (depending on location).

  • Skilled in aircraft structural repairs, modifications, and interpreting technical documentation.

  • Proficient with aircraft tools, schematics, and repair procedures.

  • Must be able to obtain customer approval for aircraft access (note: dual citizenship may restrict access).

  • Physically able to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 35 lbs.

  • Comfortable working at heights and using required personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Must pass visual acuity and color perception tests.

  • Must pass plate test

  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR regulations.

Desired Skills:

  • FAA Airframe and/or Powerplant (A&P) certification is a plus.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical components, including sheet metal and structural systems.

  • Familiarity with accessing and managing digital work instructions and parts requisitions.

  • Experience operating specialized tools (e.g., torque wrenches, micrometers) and ground support equipment (e.g., cranes, forklifts).

  • Capable of mentoring and guiding junior technicians during maintenance and modification activities.
