Job Description

JOB TITLE: Aircraft Maintenance Technician II - Weekend Days Shift 
LOCATION: Savannah, GA
PAY RATE: $32.18/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Summary: 

  • Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs of moderate to advanced complexity on aircraft systems and structures.

  • Effectively communicate to receive and understand work assignments.

  • Perform complex aircraft inspections, repairs, and modifications with minimal supervision.

  • Coordinate with MTL, STM, and Inspection Department to ensure compliance with FAA and internal documentation/inspection requirements.

  • Complete CMP cards, work orders, and paperwork accurately and on time.

  • Ensure all work meets quality standards and technical specifications.

  • Properly tag, store, and secure customer property and components.

  • Operate ground support equipment (e.g., power carts, hydraulic mules, lifts, tow tugs, forklifts) following standard operating procedures.

  • Assist with aircraft movements in hangar and ramp areas.

  • Provide guidance and training to less experienced technicians.

  • Protect customer property (PTP) at all times.

  • Collect and dispose of hazardous waste (fuel, oil, fluids, rags) properly. Apply 6S and Lean principles to maintain clean, organized workspaces.

  • Support Lean/continuous improvement initiatives across work areas.

  • Properly use, maintain, and return company-provided tools and equipment.

  • Follow all safety protocols and report/resolve unsafe conditions proactively.

  • Utilize material tracking system to create part demands, sign off work, and charge labor accurately.

  • Support aircraft certification and final phase testing, including flight testing when required.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate

  • 2 years of aviation maintenance experience; or 4 years of aviation maintenance experience (including 2 years on mid/large-size aircraft)

  • Valid Driver’s License required

  • Working knowledge of FAA regulations, process specifications, Repair Station/Quality Control manuals, and company policies/procedures

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
