Job Description

JOB TITLE: VIP Interiors Mechanic
LOCATION: Moses Lake, WA
SALARY: $67,000/year

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Summary: 

  • Installation, fabrication, and modification of aircraft interiors—including galleys, closets, lavatories, side ledges, bulkheads, doors, and panels—on VIP aircraft.

  • Candidates should have at least two years of recent, relevant experience in installation or fabrication, preferably within the aerospace industry.

  • Fabricate monuments from raw materials (wood, honeycomb, fiberglass, sheet metal, veneers).

  • Trim, fit, and install interior components such as galleys, doors, bulkheads, and tables.

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.

  • Inspect incoming cabinetry and components; perform necessary troubleshooting and repairs.

  • Identify and label parts accurately using proper nomenclature.

  • Follow manuals and work orders for installations and repairs.

  • Replace or repair components and perform testing as needed.

  • Communicate effectively with peers and supervisors to ensure workflow accuracy.

  • Accurately clock job assignments and complete them on schedule.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Minimum two (2) years of relevant installation or fabrication experience.

  • Aerospace industry experience preferred.

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

  • Strong math and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work under minimal supervision.

  • Adaptable and collaborative, with a focus on quality and reliability.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must pass DOT/FAA Drug and Alcohol Testing Program.

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs independently, and occasionally up to 75 lbs with assistance.

  • Able to climb ladders, stoop, kneel, and work in tight spaces.

  • Normal or corrected vision required.

  • Must be able to reach overhead and use both hands freely.
