JOB TITLE: Metrology Technician
LOCATION: Mesa, AZ
PAY RATE: $40/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Hands-on assembly of tooling and precision fixtures

  • Handle and position large structures using forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, cranes, or hoists

  • Install and accurately locate concrete mounting points in floors and position structures within ±0.005” tolerance

  • Operate and utilize laser trackers and other precision positioning systems

  • Perform inspection and measurement using CAD or 3D software, such as:

    • PC Demus

    • Verisurf

    • Geomagic

    • Polyworks

    • Spatial Analyzer

    • Similar metrology software

  • Lift and maneuver materials weighing up to 50 lbs

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and accuracy of assemblies

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience setting up large-scale precision fixtures or tooling

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

  • Proficient with CAD and/or 3D inspection software packages and standard Microsoft Office tools

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and safely operate material handling equipment

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years’ experience with large aircraft assembly and inspection

  • Metal shop skills such as welding, grinding, or machining

  • Prior experience in aerospace or defense environments
