JOB TITLE: Avionics Specialist
LOCATION: Mesa, AZ
PAY RATE: $32-40/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Summary: 

  • Support and assist in leading manufacturing activities related to installation, design, development, and testing of aircraft and spacecraft systems

  • Fabricate and assemble avionics LRUs and wire harnesses, and integrate them onto the vehicle

  • Install avionics components including wire harnesses, data acquisition units (DAUs), and sensors

  • Adhere to safety protocols, FOD prevention, and regulatory requirements

  • Follow directions and guidelines from team leadership to support cross-functional collaboration

  • Ensure quality and efficiency of installations; troubleshoot issues and assist others when needed

  • Follow assembly instructions to accurately complete complex builds

  • Work collaboratively to achieve project milestones and assigned tasks

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a technician in aerospace or manufacturing

  • Strong experience with aircraft wire harness fabrication and installation

  • Understanding of IPC-A-620 standards (certification is a plus)

  • Experience using computer applications to follow manufacturing work instructions

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and digital models

  • Experience leading projects, mentoring, or providing technical guidance (preferred but not required)

  • Familiarity with manufacturing-based ERP systems

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Skills:

  • A&P training or certification (preferred)

  • Knowledge of current manufacturing practices and willingness to learn advanced spacecraft manufacturing techniques

  • Experience performing quality repairs on malfunctioning systems

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and tools

  • Strong communication skills with a collaborative mindset

  • Detail-oriented while maintaining awareness of overall project goals

  • Safety-focused approach, including proper housekeeping, tool control, and handling of hazardous materials

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Familiarity with personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements
