JOB TITLE: Advanced Aircraft Composite Technician
LOCATION: Columbus AFB, MS
PAY RATE: Up to $43/hour

Job Details:
Schedule: 8-hour shifts, starting on first shift with potential for second shift later.
Qualifying Questions:
Summary:
Perform complex fabrication and assembly of detailed parts, subassemblies, and final assemblies in a manufacturing environment and on customer aircraft.
Execute adhesive bonded assemblies involving metallic and non-metallic composite materials.
Flexibly support other aircraft manufacturing tasks such as composite layup, painting, trim and drill, tool movement, and cross-departmental collaboration to ensure timely product delivery.
Apply moderately advanced to complex craft-level skills with a solid understanding of aircraft mechanics.
Review production/process documentation, scheduling, and assist in expediting material, parts, and assemblies flow.
Effectively multi-task, take initiative, and communicate clearly.
Requirements:
High School diploma or GED
7+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., vocational school/Associate + 5 years, Bachelor + 2 years).
General proficiency with hand tools and precision measurement devices.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
Capable of following written and verbal instructions.
Desired Skills:
Advanced vocational or military technical training related to aircraft manufacturing or maintenance, or FAA A&P license.
Experience with FAA manufacturing standards and associated documentation.
Skilled in using hand and power tools (routers, drills, die grinders, etc.) safely.
Proficient with close-tolerance measuring tools (scales, micrometers, calipers, depth gauges).
Experience handling, mixing, and applying epoxy resin materials.
Ability to maintain customer-supplied tooling.
Follow engineering plans and accurately complete work orders.
Maintain a clean work area and demonstrate good work habits.
Participate in process improvement projects to enhance quality, cost, and scheduling.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment wearing proper PPE.
Follow lifting regulations; regularly stand, stoop, crawl, bend, crouch, climb, and kneel.
May be required to work extended hours.
Work location: Columbus, MS (onsite).
