JOB TITLE: Aircraft Upholstery Technician II
LOCATION: Dallas, TX
PAY RATE: $26.93/hour

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

• Fabricate and install flat panels, curtains, and simple covers per engineering drawings/specifications

• Work with fabric, vinyl, leather, composites, adhesives, sewing machines, hand tools, and power tools

• Cut and surge carpets, cover bulkheads, and install panels (sidewalls, headliners, hatches, windows, etc.)

• Fabricate simple metal parts as required

• Use material tracking system to create part demands, track squawks, and sign off work

• Support process improvements to increase safety, reduce cost, and improve efficiency (Lean Manufacturing practices)

• Use Corridor system for part tracking and work documentation

• Maintain compliance with safety, 5S, and PPE requirements

• Identify and address unsafe conditions

• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED

• 2+ years of experience using commercial sewing machines, sergers, and/or hand tools in upholstery or carpet trades

• Aerospace industry experience preferred

• Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English

• Ability to read/interpret blueprints and engineering documentation

• Skilled with measuring tools and basic math

• Computer literacy required

• Physical ability to climb ladders, work in confined areas, lift up to 40 lbs, and work any shift

• Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
