JOB TITLE: Avionics Installer 3
LOCATION: Savannah, GA
PAY RATE: $30.17/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Provide work direction to technicians and ensure tasks are completed within assigned timeframes

  • Coordinate with other departments to support on-time aircraft delivery

  • Install, modify, and fabricate wiring and electrical components, fixtures, and associated equipment using blueprints, worksheets, and engineering drawings

  • Train team members on assigned work tasks and contribute to the development of improved techniques and processes

  • Support Engineering in resolving technical issues and perform repairs following engineering guidance

  • Maintain accurate logs and records

  • Ensure all work complies with regulatory requirements and customer specifications

  • Enforce FOD prevention, tool control, 5-S, and safety program requirements

  • Perform quality checks on work, including peer work, to ensure defect-free assembly prior to final inspection

  • Maintain shop equipment and assigned tools

  • Assist with shift coordination in the absence of the team leader

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen events

  • Support team coordinator duties as needed

  • Perform other assigned duties

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Two (2) years of accredited aviation electronics schooling and two (2) years of related work experience; or four (4) years of experience in an avionics or electronic career field

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams

  • Working knowledge of company policies, inspection procedures, and process specifications

  • Ability to transition between tasks with minimal short-term impact to schedule and production goals

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Basic computer keyboard proficiency

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
