JOB TITLE: Avionics/Electrical Technician II - Weekend Days Shift
LOCATION: Savannah, GA
PAY RATE: $32.18/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Perform operational testing, troubleshooting, and repair of avionics and aircraft systems

  • Install and functionally test electrical/avionics components per engineering specs and manuals

  • Ensure quality and efficiency of all installations, repairs, and modifications

  • Repair or replace defective components and wiring using proper techniques (splicing, soldering, pinning)

  • Implement engineering changes and modifications as required

  • Set up and operate test equipment; perform functional and operational tests

  • Properly document all work for inspection and certification

  • Test and maintain test equipment, electronic systems, and components

  • Comply with FOD, tool control, 5-S programs, and all safety regulations

  • Adapt to schedule changes and prioritize tasks to maintain workflow

  • Support aircraft certification and final phase testing, including flight tests if required

  • Assist with troubleshooting other aircraft systems (hydraulics, landing gear, flight controls, environmental systems, structural repairs) as needed

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • 4 years in an avionics/electrical career field OR 2 years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics plus 2 years of related experience

  • Preferred certifications/licenses:

    • A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant License)

    • FCC Certification

    • NCATT Certification

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals

  • Strong troubleshooting, installation, and repair skills in avionics/electrical systems

  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Ability to climb ladders/stairs, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
