Job Description

JOB TITLE: Advanced Composite Technician II - Weekend Days
LOCATION: Savannah, GA
PAY RATE: $25.65/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Under moderate supervision, perform composite part manufacturing functions — including lay-up, cutting, bagging, autoclave, trimming, and/or repair — in a production environment

  • Manufacture a variety of composite aircraft parts to meet manufacturing specifications in a team-oriented environment

  • Meet the requirements of the Manufacturing Competencies at the appropriate level in the Employee Effectiveness Review

  • Read work orders, blueprints, lofts, sketches, and operation sheets to determine the sequence of operations

  • Use special tools and precision measuring devices (e.g., 6" scale, 1" micrometer, 6" dial caliper)

  • Inspect all work and ensure defect-free assemblies prior to inspection

  • Maintain and properly use logs and records (MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, PCOs, DR/DI, etc.)

  • Maintain a neat and orderly work area; support company FOD and 5S programs; comply with all safety regulations

  • Support Lean activities

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

 

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Two (2) years of related composite experience

  • Ability to work with composite resins and materials

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints

  • Ability to read and interpret a 6" scale

  • Basic computer skills

  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position

  • Must be able to work any shift

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
