Summary:Â
Perform complex aircraft inspections, repairs, and modifications with minimal supervision.
Coordinate with MTL, STM, and Inspection Department to ensure compliance with FAA and internal documentation requirements; complete CMP cards, work orders, and paperwork accurately and on time.
Ensure all work meets quality standards and specifications.
Properly identify, tag, and store customer property and aircraft components securely.
Operate ground support equipment safely, including hydraulic lifts, tow tugs, forklifts, and compressed gas cylinders.
Assist with aircraft movement in hangars and ramp areas.
Provide training and guidance to less experienced technicians.
Protect customer property and maintain safe work environments.
Collect and properly dispose of fuel, oil, hydraulic fluids, de-icing fluids, and solvent rags; maintain clean and organized work areas following 6S and Lean initiatives.
Apply Lean/continuous improvement processes to all areas of responsibility.
Use, maintain, and return company-provided tools and equipment.
Follow all safety procedures and address unsafe conditions.
Use material tracking systems to create parts demand, track squawks, sign-offs, and charge labor to work orders.
Support aircraft certification and final phase testing, including flight tests when required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required
Working knowledge of FAA regulations, Repair Station and Quality Control manuals, process specifications, and company policies/procedures.
FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate
2 years aviation maintenance experience or 4 years aviation maintenance experience including 2 years on mid/large aircraft
Valid Driver’s License required
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
