Job Description

JOB TITLE: RS Senior Aircraft Cabinet Maker
LOCATION: Dallas, TX
PAY RATE: $33.81/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Fabricate high-quality furniture and wood subassemblies using stationary and handheld tools.

  • Interpret material specifications and engineering drawings to meet design requirements and quality standards.

  • Coordinate with supervision to ensure compliance with customer-approved samples.

  • Utilize a variety of woodworking tools and techniques.

  • Champion safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies; protect aircraft interiors.

  • Collaborate with leads to implement process improvements using Lean Six Sigma techniques.

  • Track parts, manage squawks, and sign off completed work in the material tracking system.

  • Mentor and train less experienced technicians; accept lead responsibilities when needed.

  • Conduct safety audits and assist in maintaining shop equipment and JSAs.

  • Coordinate with other backshops and adapt to schedule changes as required.

Requirements:

 

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • 4+ years in cabinetmaking; aerospace industry experience preferred

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

  • Able to climb ladders/stairs, work in confined spaces, lift up to 40 lbs, and work any shift.

  • Computer literate.

  • Advanced knowledge of cabinetmaking processes and products.

  • Preferred: knowledge of inspection and process specifications.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
