JOB TITLE: Stress Engineer 4
LOCATION: Savannah, GA
PAY RATE: $87.40/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Perform static and fatigue analysis of primary and secondary airframe structures (metallic and composite)

  • Apply classical stress analysis methods to evaluate structural integrity

  • Support stress analysis and drawing release using CATIA V5

  • Review and interpret 2D engineering drawings

  • Contribute to aircraft modifications and repairs (e.g., STC, MRB, Service)

  • Support composite structure analysis, including allowable testing and certification requirements

  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field required (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

  • 10+ years of experience in a specific technical discipline

    • OR 15+ years of broad engineering experience across multiple disciplines with a Bachelor’s degree

  • Advanced degrees may count toward experience:

    • Master’s: up to 2 years credit

    • PhD: up to 4 years credit

  • Strong experience in static and fatigue analysis of metallic airframe structures

  • Solid background in classical stress analysis

  • Proficiency with CATIA V5

  • Experience reviewing 2D drawings

  • Strong skills in Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with aircraft modifications and repairs (STC, MRB, Service)

  • Experience with composite structure analysis and certification requirements

  • Familiarity with Patran/Nastran

  • Strong collaborative mindset and ability to work in team environments
