JOB TITLE: Aerospace Manufacturing Engineer III
LOCATION: Savannah, GA
PAY RATE: $62/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Analyze manufacturing operations and develop process improvements and recommendations

  • Create detailed work instructions to drive efficiency and zero-defect production

  • Develop rework instructions (DRDI/DMT) and manage engineering change implementation

  • Author and manage MBOMs in systems such as SAP, Solumina, or Corridor

  • Conduct make-or-buy analysis, support vendor selection, and resolve supplier issues

  • Perform productibility studies from engineering drawings

  • Support planning, scheduling, and resource allocation for manufacturing activities

  • Apply statistical analysis to forecast manufacturing requirements and performance

  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional projects across multiple organizations

  • Develop and present business cases for process improvements

  • Ensure adherence to quality, safety, sustainability, and ergonomic standards

  • Train and support team members; may lead or supervise personnel

  • Stay current with advanced manufacturing technologies and best practices

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 4+ years of manufacturing engineering or related experience

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling, and production flow

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation

  • Experience with ERP/MES systems (SAP, Solumina, Corridor, etc.)

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies

  • Knowledge of tools such as 5S, JIT, SMED, Kanban, VSM, One Piece Flow

  • Experience with data-driven decision making and statistical analysis

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent certification

  • Experience with CATIA, CADAM, or similar tools

  • Leadership or team coordination experience
