Job Description

JOB TITLE: Aircraft inspector
LOCATION: Wichita, KS
PAY RATE: $43/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

Qualifying Questions:

  • Are you a U.S. person as defined under ITAR regulations?

  • Do you meet the educational and experience requirements for this role?

  • Can you commute to the job location or relocate if necessary?

Summary: 

  • Use and interpret drawings, inspection manuals, specifications, shop math, precision measuring instruments, and specialized inspection equipment

  • Follow Inspection (shop) procedures to accept or reject processes, parts, and assemblies

  • Verify that tools are qualified and maintain required certifications

  • Prepare and maintain quality records

  • Work across equivalent or lower-level Inspector job codes as needed

  • Apply Quality Management System policies and procedures

  • Understand company policies, procedures, and specifications

  • Maintain good communication (written and verbal) and computing skills

  • Demonstrate overall working knowledge of production processes

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • 5+ years of aerospace airframe assembly inspection experience

  • Punctual and reliable

  • Ability to obtain and maintain all required training certifications

  • Available to work any shift (1st, 2nd, 3rd) and periods of heavy overtime

  • Blueprint reading experience

  • Proficient in MS Office and SAP

  • Experience writing NCRs (Tags)

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Desired Skills:

  • SAP experience

  • Previous Boeing experience

  • Boeing 737 Airframe/Fuselage experienc
