JOB TITLE: Aircraft Upholstery Technician II
LOCATION: Savannah, GA
PAY RATE: $25.65/hour

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

• Fabricate, cover, and install flat panels, curtains, and simple covers per design specifications.

• Work with fabric, vinyl, leather, composites, adhesives, sewing equipment, and power tools.

• Cut and surge carpets, cover bulkheads, and install various panels.

• May fabricate metal parts and fit panels, windows, cabin headliners, sidewalls, and hatch panels.

• Use the material tracking system to create parts demands, track issues, and sign off work.

• Assist in process improvements for safety, cost reduction, and efficiency using Lean Manufacturing.

• Comply with safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies; use personal protective equipment.

• Identify and address unsafe conditions.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• 2 years of experience with commercial sewing machines, sergers, or hand tools in upholstery and carpet trades.

• Aerospace industry experience preferred.

• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.

• Ability to read blueprints and engineering documents.

• Skilled in using measuring tools and performing basic math.

• Computer literacy required.

• Able to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift up to 40 lbs, and work any shift.
