JOB TITLE: Aircraft Upholstery Technician II - 2nd Shift
LOCATION: Dallas, TX
PAY RATE: $26.93/hour

Summary:
Fabricate and install covers, flat panels, and curtains using design drawings and aircraft specifications
Sew simple covers and upholstery components as required
Work with fabric, vinyl, leather, composites, and other interior materials using approved adhesives, sewing equipment, hardware, hand tools, and power tools
Cut and serge carpets, cover bulkheads, and install interior panels
Fabricate or assist in fabricating metal and interior components including headliners, sidewalls, hatch panels, and window panels
Use material tracking systems to manage parts demand, track discrepancies, and complete work sign-offs
Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing principles
Work with senior technicians to improve safety, reduce cost, and improve production efficiency
Follow safety, 5S, and housekeeping standards; use personal protective equipment as required
Identify and address unsafe working conditions
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required
2 years of experience using commercial sewing machines, sergers, and/or upholstery and carpet trade hand tools
Aerospace industry experience preferred
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering documents
Basic ability to use measuring tools and perform simple math calculations
Computer literacy required
Ability to climb ladders and stairs, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 40 lbs
Ability to work any shift
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
