JOB TITLE: Aircraft Upholstery Technician I 
LOCATION: Savannah, GA
PAY RATE: $23.31/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Summary: 

  • This is an entry-level position for candidates interested in aircraft interiors.

  • Fabricate and install upholstery, cover panels, and create simple patterns based on engineering drawings and specifications.

  • Use of commercial sewing machines, sergers, or hand tools related to upholstery or carpet trades

  • Perform upholstery tasks according to design, FAA, and specifications

  • Fit and install panels, headliners, sidewalls, bulkheads, and windows

  • Cut, surge, and install carpet; create carpet patterns per design drawings

  • Fabricate and install metal parts and various interior components

  • Utilize material tracking system to create parts demand, record issues, and sign off work

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED require

     

  • Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking, comprehension)

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documents

  • Skilled in using measuring tools and performing basic math

  • Basic computer literacy

  • Physically able to climb ladders/stairs, work in confined spaces, lift up to 40 lbs, and work any shift

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
