Job Description

JOB TITLE: Aircraft Upholstery Technician I 
LOCATION: Dallas, TX
PAY RATE: $24.50/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Perform upholstery functions within design, customer, FAA, and specifications, completing all tasks per work order instructions.

  • Fit and install panels, windows, cabin headliners, sidewalls, hatch panels, bulkheads, and carpets.

  • Create carpet patterns per design drawings and complete installation.

  • Fabricate and install various metal parts, coverings, and trim as required.

  • Use the material tracking system to create parts demand, track discrepancies, and sign off work.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Entry-level position.

  • Experience with commercial sewing machines, sergers, or hand tools used in upholstery and carpet trades preferred.

  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.

  • Skilled in using measuring tools and performing basic math computations.

  • Computer literacy required.

  • Ability to climb ladders/stairs, work in confined spaces, lift up to 40 lbs, and work any assigned shift.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
