Job Description

JOB TITLE: Aircraft Technician II - Weekend Day Shift
LOCATION: Savannah, GA
PAY RATE: $32.18/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Summary: 

 

  • Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs of moderate to advanced complexity on aircraft systems and structures under minimal supervision.

  • Communicate effectively to understand and execute work assignments

  • Perform complex inspections, repairs, and modifications with minimal supervision

  • Coordinate with MTL, STM, and Inspection to meet internal and FAA compliance requirements

  • Complete CMP cards, work orders, and required documentation accurately and on time

  • Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards

  • Properly tag and secure customer property and aircraft components

  • Operate ground support equipment safely (e.g., hydraulic mules, lifts, tugs, forklifts)

  • Assist with aircraft movements in hangar/ramp areas

  • Provide training and mentorship to junior technicians

  • Maintain and protect customer property (PTP)

  • Dispose of waste materials (fuel, oil, fluids, rags) properly

  • Apply 6S and Lean principles to maintain clean and efficient work areas

  • Use and return company tools and equipment responsibly

  • Follow all safety procedures and report/address unsafe conditions

  • Utilize material tracking systems for parts, squawks, sign-offs, and labor tracking

  • Support aircraft certification and final phase testing, including flight tests if needed

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

 

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate and 2 years of aviation maintenance experience;or 4 years of aviation maintenance experience with at least 2 years on mid/large-size aircraft

  • Valid Driver’s License required

  • Strong working knowledge of FAA regulations, process specifications, Repair Station and QC manuals, and company procedures

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
