Job Description

JOB TITLE: Aircraft Structures Assembler - $5,000 Relocation Bonus
LOCATION: North Charleston, SC
PAY RATE: $30-38/hour

We are a national staffing agency partnering with top-tier aerospace and defense companies, and we’re seeking first-class employees to join our clients’ teams!

Job Details:

  • Contract Length: 12 months (with potential extension)

  • Bonus: $5,000 paid to those over 80 miles from the site on first paycheck (bonus must be returned in full if candidate leaves before 6 months for any reason

  • Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision (Cigna)

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Operate structural assembly tools (Hi-speed/Lo-speed drills, pneumatic/electric drills, nut runners, Quackenbush)

  • Set up and validate jigs and tooling

  • Perform close tolerance drilling in critical structural areas

  • Use precision calibrated measuring tools

  • Install/remove various fasteners using proper techniques

  • Work with CFRP, aluminum, and titanium for drilling, trimming, sanding, and shimming

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • 7+ years of experience in:

    • Structural fabrication and assembly processes

    • Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and technical instructions (English)

    • Using hand, power, and pneumatic tools in a manufacturing or mechanical setting

    • Microsoft Office Suite, email, and internet navigation

  • Able to lift up to 35 lbs and perform physical tasks (bending, kneeling, crawling, climbing, overhead work, etc.)

  • Able to work with high hazard chemicals

  • Shift flexibility required (1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift; based on business needs)

  • 8–10 weeks of training required

  • This is a non-managerial, non-leadership role

  • Contingent upon successful completion of all background and screening requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
