JOB TITLE: Aircraft Structural Mechanic III

Summary:
Works with minimal supervision to perform structural assembly operations, ensuring compliance with prints, specifications, and quality standards.
Assists and instructs team members as needed.
Perform structural assembly, fitting, drilling, riveting, and sheet metal fabrication.
Use tools such as pneumatic drills, riveting guns, and reamers.
Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and engineering instructions.
Align and assemble parts using jigs, clamps, and fasteners.
Inspect and verify work meets specifications before final inspection.
Make repairs per Discrepant Material Tags (DMT), Material Review Requests (MRR), and Production Change Orders (PCO).
Maintain accurate records, including MIR sheets and job logs.
Instruct and assist team members in interpreting blueprints and resolving production issues.
Follow safety regulations, maintain a clean workspace, and use PPE as required.
Support 5S and Lean initiatives.
Participate in continuous improvement activities.
Properly handle and dispose of hazardous materials.
Ensure accurate job tracking and shift handovers.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required.
4+ years of structural assembly experience.
Experience with Solumina and Smarteam preferred.
Q-stamp preferred.
Basic computer and shop math skills.
Ability to work with composite resins and materials.
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Skilled in close tolerance work and using specialized tools.
Ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to work any shift.
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
