Job Description

JOB TITLE: Aircraft Structural Mechanic III 
LOCATION: Tulsa, OK
PAY RATE: $28.75/hour

Summary: 

  • Works with minimal supervision to perform structural assembly operations, ensuring compliance with prints, specifications, and quality standards.

  • Assists and instructs team members as needed.

  • Perform structural assembly, fitting, drilling, riveting, and sheet metal fabrication.

  • Use tools such as pneumatic drills, riveting guns, and reamers.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and engineering instructions.

  • Align and assemble parts using jigs, clamps, and fasteners.

  • Inspect and verify work meets specifications before final inspection.

  • Make repairs per Discrepant Material Tags (DMT), Material Review Requests (MRR), and Production Change Orders (PCO).

  • Maintain accurate records, including MIR sheets and job logs.

  • Instruct and assist team members in interpreting blueprints and resolving production issues.

  • Follow safety regulations, maintain a clean workspace, and use PPE as required.

  • Support 5S and Lean initiatives.

  • Participate in continuous improvement activities.

  • Properly handle and dispose of hazardous materials.

  • Ensure accurate job tracking and shift handovers.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • 4+ years of structural assembly experience.

  • Experience with Solumina and Smarteam preferred.

  • Q-stamp preferred.

  • Basic computer and shop math skills.

  • Ability to work with composite resins and materials.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

  • Skilled in close tolerance work and using specialized tools.

  • Ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Must be able to work any shift.

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
