JOB TITLE: Aircraft Structural Mechanic II
LOCATION: Dallas, TX
PAY RATE: $26.93/hour

Job Details:
Contract Length: 12 months (opportunity for extension)
Shift: Weekend day shift

Summary:
Perform structural assembly operations in a team-oriented environment with minimal supervision, ensuring all work meets company design specifications, quality standards, and customer expectations.
Assemble and fit parts and structures, perform drilling, riveting, sheet metal fabrication, and equipment installation on aircraft.
Use tools such as riveting guns, pneumatic drills, and countersinks; safely remove fasteners without damaging structures.
Interpret work orders, blueprints, sketches, and operation sheets; handle plastics, adhesives, sealants, and solvents per procedures.
Inspect assemblies to ensure defect-free work prior to final inspection.
Align and assemble parts using jigs, fixtures, and clamps; shape and form complex configurations per blueprints.
Perform repairs and rework based on DMTs, MRRs, and PCOs to ensure conformity.
Maintain logs, records, and a clean, organized work area while adhering to the 5S Program and safety regulations.
Properly handle and dispose of waste materials.
Ensure accurate daily job tracking and coordinate work between shifts.
Assist with equipment maintenance, support Lean initiatives, and perform other assigned tasks.
Required Skills:
High School Diploma or GED required.
2 years of structural assembly experience.
Experience with Solumina and Smarteam preferred.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and perform basic shop math.
Strong attention to detail, professionalism, and aptitude for hands-on craftwork.
Experience with composite resins and materials.
Able to work any shift, climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Fluent in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
