JOB TITLE: Aircraft Structural Mechanic II
LOCATION: Dallas, TX
PAY RATE: $26.93/hour

Summary: 

  • Perform structural assembly operations in a team-oriented environment with minimal supervision, ensuring all work meets company design specifications, quality standards, and customer expectations.

  • Assemble and fit parts and structures, perform drilling, riveting, sheet metal fabrication, and equipment installation on aircraft.

  • Use tools such as riveting guns, pneumatic drills, and countersinks; safely remove fasteners without damaging structures.

  • Interpret work orders, blueprints, sketches, and operation sheets; handle plastics, adhesives, sealants, and solvents per procedures.

  • Inspect assemblies to ensure defect-free work prior to final inspection.

  • Align and assemble parts using jigs, fixtures, and clamps; shape and form complex configurations per blueprints.

  • Perform repairs and rework based on DMTs, MRRs, and PCOs to ensure conformity.

  • Maintain logs, records, and a clean, organized work area while adhering to the 5S Program and safety regulations.

  • Properly handle and dispose of waste materials.

  • Ensure accurate daily job tracking and coordinate work between shifts.

  • Assist with equipment maintenance, support Lean initiatives, and perform other assigned tasks.

Required Skills:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • 2 years of structural assembly experience.

  • Experience with Solumina and Smarteam preferred.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and perform basic shop math.

  • Strong attention to detail, professionalism, and aptitude for hands-on craftwork.

  • Experience with composite resins and materials.

  • Able to work any shift, climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Fluent in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
