Job Description

JOB TITLE: Aircraft Structural Mechanic II
LOCATION: Tulsa, OK
PAY RATE: $25.65/hour

Job Details:

  • Contract Length: 12 months (with potential extension)

Qualifying Questions:

  • Are you a U.S. person as defined under ITAR regulations?

  • Do you meet the educational and experience requirements for this role?

  • Can you commute to the job location or relocate if necessary?

Summary: 

  • Safely assemble and fit parts, perform drilling, riveting, sheet metal layout, and fabrication on aircraft structures.

  • Use tools such as riveting guns, pneumatic drills, countersinks, and files for structural assembly.

  • Ensure parts meet specifications and quality standards by reading blueprints, operation sheets, and work orders.

  • Perform repairs and rework based on Discrepant Material Tags (DMT) and Production Change Orders (PCO).

  • Maintain accurate records and logs, ensuring proper job charging and compliance with safety regulations.

  • Utilize jigs, clamps, and fasteners for assembly, and shape materials to blueprint specifications.

  • Safely dispose of waste materials like fuel, oil, and fluids.

  • Support Lean activities and assist in maintaining shop equipment.

  • Participate in shift handovers and coordinate work activities with leadership.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • 2 years of related structural assembly experience

  • Experience with Solumina and Smarteam preferred

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.

  • Basic computer and shop math skills.

  • Ability to work with composite materials.

  • Must be able to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift up to 50 lbs, and work any shift.

  • Must have strong attention to detail, professionalism, and safety awareness.

  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension).

  • MUST BE US PERSONS
