JOB TITLE: Aircraft Structural Mechanic I

PAY RATE: $21.21/hour

Summary: 

• Perform structural assembly tasks in accordance with company specifications and quality standards.

• This includes layout, fitting, drilling, riveting, and installation of parts and assemblies on aircraft.

• Perform safe assembly, fitting, and riveting of structural components.

• Use tools such as riveting guns, drills, countersinks, reamers, and shavers.

• Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, sketches, and operation sheets.

• Ensure work meets quality standards before final inspection.

• Maintain required documentation (e.g., MIR sheets, DMTs, PCOs).

• Align and assemble parts using jigs, fixtures, and fasteners.

• Perform repairs and rework per DMTs, MRRs, and PCOs.

• Maintain a clean and safe work area; support 5S and safety initiatives.

• Properly dispose of waste materials (e.g., oils, fuels, solvents).

• Accurately charge time to jobs.

• Communicate job status across shifts.

• Assist in equipment upkeep and support Lean initiatives.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Minimum 2 years of structural assembly experience

• Experience with Solumina and SmarTeam preferred

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and use precision measuring tools

• Basic computer and math skills

• Ability to read scales and follow instructions

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines

• Good housekeeping and safety practices

• Experience with composite materials preferred

• Ability to work any shift and in confined spaces; lift up to 50 lbs

• Must read, write, speak, and understand English

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
