JOB TITLE: Aircraft Maintenance Technician
LOCATION: Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA
PAY RATE: $47.78/hour

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Assembles, disassembles, and modifies systems by changing, removing, replacing, or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes.

  • Oversees assembly, disassembly, or overhaul operations.

  • Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment for testing and validation.

  • Troubleshoots complex pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.

  • Performs validation and verification testing of systems and components.

  • Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance for repairs, test results, modifications, and inspection results.

  • Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements.

  • Applies knowledge of aerospace systems to modify and repair components.

  • Uses precision tools and equipment for system configuration and troubleshooting.

  • Documents test results and inspection findings per regulatory standards.

Requirements:

  • Ability to Obtain a Secret Security Clearance.

  • Experience assembling, disassembling, and modifying aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes.

  • Experience troubleshooting complex pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

  • Experience performing validation and verification testing of systems and components.

  • Experience documenting procedures for regulatory compliance (repairs, test results, modifications, inspections).

  • Experience inspecting components and verifying repairs for flight worthiness.

  • Ability to configure aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.

  • Experience with assembly, disassembly, and overhaul of aircraft systems.

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.

  • Familiarity with quality and safety procedures for aerospace maintenance.
