JOB TITLE: Aircraft Interiors Technician – $5K Relocation Bonus
LOCATION: North Charleston , SC
PAY RATE: $29-38/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Perform advanced decorative interior repairs (painting, sweep & fill, surface prep, masking)

  • Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions

  • Apply coatings, primers, adhesives, sealants, and specialty finishes

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex interior issues and non-standard work

  • Maintain strict safety, quality, and FOD (Foreign Object Debris) standards

  • Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment

  • Operate mechanical lifts (ladders, snorkel lifts, etc.)

  • Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers

Requirements:

  • 3–5+ years of aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing experience with decorative finishes (paints, laminates, vinyl, plastics, etc.)

  • Experience with aircraft interior repair, adjustments, and installations

  • Strong skills in sanding, painting, decorative laminate (“declam”), and cosmetic rework (color/texture matching)

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions

  • Ability to work variable shifts (1st, 2nd, or 3rd)

  • Ability to meet physical demands (lifting 10–35 lbs, climbing, bending, confined spaces)

  • Ability to work with chemicals using proper PPE

  • Must pass color vision screening (post-offer)

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of related experience

  • Aerospace manufacturing or military experience

  • Experience with aircraft cabin interiors (galleys, lavatories, seating, stowage, liners, etc.)
