JOB TITLE: Aircraft Interior Installation Technician II 
LOCATION: Savannah, GA
PAY RATE: $25.65/hour

Summary: 

  • Removes, installs, and fabricates aircraft interiors, including trim, carpet, soundproofing, cabinetry, panels, and other components, ensuring adherence to design specifications, quality standards, and customer expectations.

  • Safely remove, install, and fabricate aircraft interiors (e.g., galleys, closets, lavatories, bulkheads, doors, and panels).

  • Coordinate with supervisors and inspection teams to comply with FAA regulations, Repair Station procedures, and quality requirements.

  • Use the material tracking system for parts requests, squawk tracking, and work sign-offs.

  • Operate and maintain tools such as hand tools, band saws, shears, sanders, and brakes.

  • Prepare and install interior components per operational procedures and quality standards.

  • Remove and reinstall nut plates, inserts, and other fasteners as needed.

  • Ensure proper use of hardware and fittings during installations.

  • Follow safety, 5S, and housekeeping protocols; use personal protective equipment as required.

  • Address unsafe conditions to mitigate risks.

  • Assist with maintenance tasks under supervision.

  • Adapt to schedule changes.

  • Collaborate with senior technicians to implement process improvements using Lean Six Sigma principles.

  • Create and use simple patterns for tasks.

  • Support aircraft certification and testing, including flight tests if required.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • 2 years of installation, fabrication, or related experience (aerospace industry preferred).

  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.

  • Skilled in using hand and power tools for interior installations.

  • Capable of climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, lifting up to 40 pounds, and working any shift.

  • Computer literate with strong communication skills.
