QA Inspector

The QA Maintenance Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all aircraft maintenance is accomplished in accordance with the Repair Station/Quality Control Manual and current Federal Aviation Regulations. They will be actively engaged with the in-process inspection and return to service of aircraft in maintenance. In addition, the QA Inspector will assist in the continual process improvement of the maintenance department by identifying risks and participating in determining and implementing processes and procedures to mitigate risk and promote a safe working environment.  We are looking for 3 inspectors with shifts available on 1st & 2nd shift. 

Duties

  • Provide technical guidance in aircraft maintenance and inspection techniques and procedures per technical manuals, work standards and operational policies
  • Perform in-process and final inspections of aircraft
  • Ensure for the timely and accurate completion of all aircraft maintenance records, reports and forms to ensure on-time RTS
  • Ensure that all maintenance is performed in accordance with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, Repair Station and Quality Control Manuals, Operator/Air Carrier Manuals and safe standard practices
  • Fosters an atmosphere of continuous improvement regarding aircraft maintenance, safe practices and process improvement
  • Ensure that all maintenance is performed in accordance with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, Repair Station and Quality Control Manuals, Operator/Air Carrier Manuals and safe standard practices
  • Assist with development and writing of revisions to the Repair Station/Quality Control Manual, Standard Operating Procedures, and Safety Bulletins.
  • Assure that procedures used in procurement and reception of aircraft parts will guard against “unapproved” parts from entering the parts system and to ensure that any such parts are detected before their use.
  • Assist Chief Inspector with maintaining employee training, vendor audits and tool calibration requirements
Qualifications
Key Skills; inspection, maintenance, troubleshoot, PART 145 or PART 135, Gulfstream OR Cessna OR Embraer OR Bombardier
  • RTS Inspector Qualification must have  24 Months of experience on specific aircraft model or training with certificate.
  • RTS Inspector Qualification must have  6 months as Return to Service Inspector
  • RII Inspector Qualification must have 5 years as A&P Tech
  • RII Inspector Qualification 2 years’ experience in aircraft specific model or training with certificate.
MUST HAVE:
    • 3+ years on BOTH Gulfstream aircraft (G4, G450, G5) and Challenger aircraft inspections
      • Will consider candidates with 3 years on one of the other but preference is both
    • RII inspection background
    • Preference for: FAA approved flight safety training, CAE, etc
    • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
    • 5-7 years of experience in Part 145 corporate aircraft maintenance required. Gulfstream (G200, GIV, GV, G550, G650), Cessna 750, Challenger 300/600 series, Global Express and Embraer 135/145 series aircraft is preferred
    • FAA Airframe & Powerplant license required, Inspection Authorization is a plus
    • Strong working knowledge of FAR 145 and 135 regulations
    • Above average written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
    • Strong Computer skills to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
