Job Description

JOB TITLE: Aircraft Heavy Structures - Free Housing Support

LOCATION: North Charleston, SC

PAY RATE: $38.00/hour

Summary: 

  • Perform complex assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and aircraft systems using manual or automated tools.

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical components; replace defective parts as needed.

  • Apply knowledge of aircraft structural modification and repair; assess functionality of non-complex electrical systems.

  • Operate specialized aircraft tools such as torque wrenches, micrometers, and cable tensiometers.

  • Execute complex structural work, including drilling, fastener removals, riveting, and system installations.

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, and process specifications for structural modifications and repairs.

  • Maintain required certifications, licenses, and permits for assigned tasks.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED required.

  • 10+ years of on-aircraft heavy structural experience.

  • 10+ years of experience following detailed work instructions and interpreting blueprints and specifications.

  • 5+ years in an MRO/Repair Station/AOG/Travel MODS environment.

  • 5+ years of experience in removing and restoring aircraft assemblies.

  • Non-managerial, non-leadership role.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Strong communication skills, work ethic, and sense of urgency in task completion.

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

Desired Skills:

  • 10+ years of Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience

  • 2+ years of composites experience

  • 2+ years of Velocity and Radars experience
