JOB TITLE: Aircraft Final Line Mechanic II
LOCATION: Savannah, GA
PAY RATE: $28.75/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Summary: 

  • Assemble, install, and adjust aircraft structural and system components, including control cables, linkages, landing gear, doors, engines, and associated hardware

  • Remove, replace, cut, and fit system lines and components to support repair and installation work

  • Ensure all installations meet quality requirements; perform rework as necessary to achieve conformity

  • Install system lines, valves, ducts, and related hardware to maintain leak-free systems

  • Operate specialized tools and equipment such as permaswage pumps, line cutters, torque tools, and measurement gauges

  • Assist in troubleshooting mechanical and structural issues and perform basic repairs

  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work records, and documentation (MIR, DMT, PCO, etc.)

  • Inspect own work and may review junior mechanic work to ensure defect-free installation prior to final inspection

  • Maintain clean, organized work areas and comply with FOD, 5S, and safety programs

  • Support manufacturing competencies and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Participate in aircraft certification and flight testing activities as required

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

 

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • 3 years of aerospace, aviation, or equivalent mechanical experience (e.g., automotive mechanics, heavy equipment, or similar fields)

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License preferred

  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs and work in confined spaces

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Experience with Solumina and SmarTeam preferred

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams

  • Skilled in close-tolerance work including drilling, reaming, and precision fitting

  • Ability to operate hydraulic mule pumps, fixtures, and jigs

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
