JOB TITLE: Aircraft Final Line Mechanic II
LOCATION: Savannah, GA
PAY RATE: $28.75/hour

Job Details:

  • Contract Length: 12 months (opportunity for extension)

Summary: 

  • Install, assemble, and adjust aircraft parts, components, and systems to meet operational and quality requirements.

  • Perform inspections, troubleshooting, and minor repairs while maintaining safety and efficiency standards.

  • Assist junior mechanics as needed and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • 3+ years of aerospace/aviation experience or equivalent mechanical experience (auto mechanics, heavy equipment, etc.).

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams.

  • Skilled in close tolerance work (drilling, reaming, fitting parts, etc.).

  • Proficiency with tools like hydraulic mule pumps, permaswage pumps, line cutting tools, and precision gauges.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in restricted spaces.

Desired Skills

  • A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license.

  • Experience with Solumina and Smarteam systems.

  • Flight test support experience.

  • Ability to operate fixtures, jigs, and other specialized tools.

  • Knowledge of FOD and 5S programs.
