Job Description

JOB TITLE: Aircraft Final Line Mechanic I
LOCATION: Savannah, GA
PAY RATE: $25.65/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Summary: 

  • Work in a team-oriented environment to install aircraft components, lines, cables, and structures per specifications, drawings, and operational requirements—ensuring compliance through final inspection.

  • Assemble and install aircraft structures, systems, and components (e.g., control surfaces, landing gear, engines, entry doors).

  • Rig control cables, linkages, sectors, and other mechanical systems.

  • Cut, fit, remove, and replace system lines and components to support installations and repairs.

  • Install valves, ducts, and other hardware, ensuring leak-free system operation.

  • Use tools such as permaswage pumps, dies, line cutters, wrenches, and witness gauges.

  • Perform quality checks and rework as needed to ensure conformity to specifications.

  • Maintain accurate documentation, including logs, records, and inspection reports.

  • Support FOD control, 5S workplace standards, and safety protocols.

  • Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in manufacturing competencies.

  • May participate in aircraft certification and flight testing.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • 1 year of aerospace/aviation or equivalent mechanical experience (e.g., auto or heavy equipment mechanics).

  • An A&P license may substitute for the one year of experience.

  • Experience with Solumina and Smarteam preferred.

  • Must be able to read/interpret blueprints and schematics.

  • Proficient with basic structural work (drilling, reaming, fitting, etc.).

  • Ability to climb stairs/ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
