LOCATION: San Antonio, TX
PAY RATE: $40.00/hour

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Performs on and off aircraft electrical modification to electrical wiring and system components.

  • Performs complex connector terminations including shielded wires, coaxial cables, and fiber optic wiring.

  • Performs sealing, wrapping, bonding, tying, and closure of wire harnesses and cables in accordance with standard processes.

  • Reads and interprets engineering drawings, technical orders, process specifications, and retrofit requirements to perform electrical modification or repair.

  • Troubleshoots malfunctions in aircraft electrical and environmental systems of moderate difficulty at organizational or depot maintenance level.

  • Performs aircraft bench and flight line operational testing and troubleshooting in accordance with DOD, manufacturer, and company directives.

  • Performs assembly, installation, check-out, operational testing, and modification of wire bundles in aircraft testing and development.

  • Interprets standard work instructions, charts, tables, blueprints, wire diagrams, formulas, sketches, and verbal or electronic orders.

  • Uses precision measuring instruments, gauges, and tools to check dimensions and conformance to quality requirements.

  • Applies knowledge of electrical and electronic theories and systems sufficient to perform assigned duties.

Requirements:

  • Ability to Obtain a Secret Security Clearance.

  • 9+ years of experience in electrical modification, wiring, connector terminations, and troubleshooting on aircraft.

  • 9+ years of experience knowledgeable in electrical and electronic theories and systems.

  • Ability to perform on and off aircraft electrical modification to wiring and system components.

  • Experience with complex connector terminations including shielded wires, coaxial cables, and fiber optic wiring.

  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, technical orders, process specifications, and retrofit requirements.

  • Experience troubleshooting aircraft electrical and environmental systems.

  • Experience with assembly, installation, operational testing, and modification of wire bundles.

  • Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.

  • Preferred: Experience with Depot Level or Modification maintenance and ability to operate forklift, mobile crane, and elevating equipment.
