JOB TITLE: Aircraft Cabinet Finisher II

Summary: 

• Prepares and finishes aircraft furniture using blueprints and engineering drawings.

• Performs high-quality repairs on finished surfaces in-shop and onboard aircraft.

• Cleans and polishes blemishes for aircraft delivery readiness.

• Applies finishes using spray equipment and manual/mechanical methods.

• Uses various sandpapers, polishes, adhesives, masking mediums, solvents, and tools.

• Follows all safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies; uses PPE as required.

• Uses material tracking systems for part demands, squawk tracking, and work sign-offs.

• Works with senior technicians to improve processes, enhancing safety, reducing costs, and optimizing efficiency through Lean Six Sigma.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• 2 years of wood finishing experience (aerospace industry preferred).

• Basic knowledge of cabinet finishing processes and products.

• Knowledge of inspection and process specifications.

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

• Able to climb ladders/stairs, work in confined spaces, lift up to 40 lbs, and work any shift.

• Basic computer skills required.
