JOB TITLE: Aircraft Avionics Technician
LOCATION: Beale AFB, CA
PAY RATE: $40.00-48.00/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Qualifying Questions:

  • Are you a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance?

  • Do you meet the educational and experience requirements for this role?

Summary: 

  • Terminates, routes, and builds connectors and cannon plugs for avionics and electrical systems.

  • Repairs, constructs, installs, troubleshoots, and maintains routine electrical systems and equipment.

  • Cuts, threads, bends, couples, and straps conduit for electrical installations.

  • Cuts wire and conduit to required lengths for installations and repairs.

  • Installs, repairs, or replaces switch boxes, lights, plugs, sockets, light fuses, and extension cords.

  • Disassembles motors, generators, and other equipment in preparation for repair and overhaul.

  • Troubleshoots electrical malfunctions by inspecting circuits, wiring, shielding, and grounding.

  • Tests electrical equipment for safety and efficiency using appropriate measuring devices.

  • Uses blueprints, drawings, layouts, and other specifications to perform installations and repairs.

  • Uses electrical hand tools and voltage or amperage measuring and recording devices.

Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

  • Experience terminating, routing, and building connectors and cannon plugs for aircraft avionics or electrical systems.

  • Experience repairing, constructing, installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment.

  • Experience cutting, threading, bending, coupling, and strapping conduit for electrical installations.

  • Experience cutting wire and conduit to required lengths for installations and repairs.

  • Experience installing, repairing, and replacing switch boxes, lights, plugs, sockets, fuses, and extension cords.

  • Experience disassembling motors, generators, and other equipment for repair.

  • Experience troubleshooting electrical malfunctions and inspecting circuits, wiring, shielding, and grounding.

  • Experience testing electrical equipment for safety and efficiency using measuring and recording devices.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, layouts, and other specifications.
