JOB TITLE: Aerospace Systems Technician
LOCATION: Mesa, AZ
PAY RATE: $32-40/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Fabricate and assemble composite parts and assemblies of varying size and complexity

  • Safely and accurately operate shop tools and machinery, including drills, die grinders, and calipers

  • Drill precise hole patterns in composite and metal structures, including composite/metal stack-ups

  • Install and work with multiple fastener types, including Hi-Lite, Hi-Lok, and Composi-Lok

  • Perform hands-on aircraft manufacturing with composite and/or metallic airframes

  • Work with MS flareless fittings and standard O-rings

  • Follow directions and guidelines from team leadership to support cross-functional collaboration

  • Adhere strictly to assembly instructions to ensure accurate completion of complex builds

  • Maintain a strong safety culture, including FOD awareness and regulatory compliance

  • Collaborate effectively to achieve production goals and assigned tasks

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • 2+ years of experience as a technician in aerospace or a comparable high-reliability industry

  • Experience in aircraft fabrication and assembly (or equivalent)

  • Ability to use computer applications to follow manufacturing work instructions

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and digital models

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of current manufacturing practices and willingness to learn advanced spacecraft manufacturing techniques

  • Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) training or certification (preferred)

  • Familiarity with multiple fastener types

  • Strong communication skills with a collaborative mindset

  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles and tools

  • Detail-oriented while maintaining a broader operational perspective

  • Strong safety focus, including housekeeping, tool control, and proper handling of hazardous materials

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Familiarity with personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements
