Job Title: Aerospace Structures Mechanic

Locations Available: CA, SC, WA, TX, NM, CO, KS, VA, NC, GA, OK, MO

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

  • Perform close-tolerance drilling, reaming, and installation/removal in critical structural areas, including blind holes for new components.

  • Seal, paint, and preserve structures following standard repair procedures.

  • Interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, and specifications for structural repairs and modifications.

  • Utilize tooling assemblies and fixtures for depot-level structural modifications.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of on-aircraft heavy structures experience.

  • Recent experience with VIP or specialty aircraft interior installations.

  • Proficiency in aircraft repair procedures, structural modifications, and technical publications.

  • Familiarity with aircraft-specific tools and schematics.

  • Ability to obtain customer approval for aircraft access (dual citizenship may restrict access).

  • Physically capable of climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, and lifting up to 35 lbs.

  • Comfortable working on elevated platforms and using protective gear.

  • Must pass visual acuity and color perception tests.

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

Desired Skills:

  • FAA Airframe and/or Powerplant certification preferred.

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical components, including sheet metal and structural repairs.

  • Access and manage work instructions and parts requests via computer systems.

  • Operate aircraft-specific tools (e.g., torque wrenches, micrometers) and equipment (e.g., forklifts, cranes).

  • Guide lower-level technicians during maintenance and modification tasks.
