Job Description

JOB TITLE: Engineering Support Test Technician
LOCATION: Orlando, FL
PAY RATE: $30/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Provide technical support to engineers, completing moderately complex assignments independently

  • Gather, compile, format, and analyze technical data (e.g., test results, design changes)

  • Conduct and document testing activities to support engineering evaluations

  • Perform mathematical calculations and preliminary data analysis using established methods

  • Interpret data and make quantitative assessments (e.g., trajectory analysis, dimensional consistency)

  • Develop high-quality technical documentation, including reports, drawings, flowcharts, and schematics

  • Utilize computer software and tools for data analysis and reporting

  • Research technical processes, analyze findings, and provide recommendations

  • Support product or equipment development and modifications based on requirements

  • May lead or provide guidance to junior technicians or team members

Requirements:

  • Technical support and engineering analysis

  • Programming experience with C#, version control using Git, and data visualization with Power BI

  • Stress testing experience (e.g., eCASS, SSR)

  • Mechanical assembly, cable harnessing, and circuit design

  • Electrical/electronic testing and troubleshooting

  • Hardware testing, instrumentation, and schematic interpretation

  • Experience with electro-mechanical sensors and actuators

  • Engineering documentation, reporting, and data analysis

  • Knowledge of Six Sigma and process improvement methodologies

  • Technical research, calculations, and engineering support

  • Cross-functional collaboration and team guidance

  • Strong follow-up and deadline management

  • Detail-oriented and able to work independently

  • Professional communication and customer service skills

  • Strong planning, organization, and presentation abilities

  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting expertise

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Collaborative team player with a professional demeanor

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
