JOB TITLE: RF Electronics Technician
LOCATION: Oldsmar, FL
PAY RATE: $26-32/hour

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Set up test apparatus and conduct tests of:

    • Electronic circuit card assemblies

    • RF circuits

    • Subassembly units

  • Follow established methods, procedures, standards, and sequences

  • Lay out and assemble units for production electronic equipment according to designs and specifications

  • Adjust and calibrate electronic assembly systems as required

  • Correct malfunctions by making adjustments or replacing parts/components as directed

  • Use hand and small power tools, as well as various measuring and testing devices

  • Determine types of tests to be performed

  • Approve and suggest modifications to testing equipment

  • Analyze test results to evaluate performance of products and equipment

  • Assist engineers in design and development of test procedures for new products

  • Recommend product improvements or manufacturing modifications

  • May monitor and verify quality according to statistical process or other control procedures

  • Troubleshoot to the component level

  • Utilize schematic diagrams to isolate failures on analog and digital circuitry

  • Require strong knowledge of solid-state devices and micro-circuitry

  • Work in a dynamic production environment and maintain high productivity to support customer schedules

  • Proficient in using various measurement devices, including:

    • Digital multi-meters

    • Oscilloscopes

    • Network analyzers

    • Frequency standards

    • Signal generators

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, plus specialized technical training equivalent to an Associate degree or demonstrated technical/para-engineering ability

  • Minimum 1 year of experience testing electronic assemblies and performing component-level troubleshooting of solid-state digital circuits

  • Proficient in electronics troubleshooting, circuit card testing, and electrical troubleshooting

  • Experience with flying probe/high-power testing, vibration (MIL-STD-167-1A), and thermal ESS testing of circuit card assemblies and subassemblies

  • Familiarity with radar systems

  • Strong troubleshooting and basic computer skills (Microsoft Suite and other data collection programs)

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR)
