JOB TITLE: Solder Assembler - 1st Shift
LOCATION: Oldsmar, FL
PAY RATE: $26/hour

Summary: 

  • Perform manual and selective soldering of through-hole, SMT, BGA, QFN, CSP, and other component types.

  • Conduct visual inspections and use inspection tools (microscopes, AOI, etc.) to identify solder defects such as bridges, cold joints, tombstoning, insufficient wetting, and voids.

  • Apply IPC-A-610 (Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies), IPC-J-STD-001 (Soldering Materials), and IPC-2221/2222 (Design Standards) throughout the assembly process.

  • Verify that solder paste, flux, and materials meet required specifications.

  • Recommend and support improvements to soldering processes, tooling, and work instructions.

  • Follow all safety procedures, including proper handling of hazardous materials and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Strong understanding of IPC standards.

  • Ability to perform manual and selective soldering of through-hole, SMT, BGA, QFN, CSP, and other component types.

  • Experience conducting visual inspections using microscopes, AOI, and other inspection tools.

  • Ability to identify common solder defects, including bridges, cold joints, tombstoning, insufficient wetting, and voids.

  • Familiarity with IPC-A-610, IPC-J-STD-001, and IPC-2221/2222 standards.

  • Ability to verify solder paste, flux, and material specifications.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow work instructions.

  • Capability to recommend improvements to soldering processes and tooling.

  • Commitment to following safety procedures, including proper handling of hazardous materials and PPE requirements.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
