JOB TITLE: Aircraft Structures Assembler - $5k Relocation Bonus
LOCATION:

PAY RATE: $30-38/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Summary: 

  • Performs complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and aircraft systems, equipment, and accessories using both manual and automated assembly tools.

  • Perform complex structural assembly tasks, ensuring components meet engineering specifications and quality standards.

  • Align, fit, and install structural parts and assemblies using calibrated tools, jigs, and fixtures.

  • Inspect completed work for accuracy, proper fastener installation, and adherence to tolerances.

  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve assembly issues and support continuous improvement efforts.

Requirements:

  • Use of structural assembly tools including high-speed and low-speed drills, pneumatic and electric drills, nut runners, and Quackenbush tools.

  • Set up and validate jigs and other tooling configurations.

  • Perform close-tolerance drilling and critical installations on aircraft structural components.

  • Utilize calibrated precision measuring tools.

  • Perform fastener installation and removal using various approved techniques.

  • Work with CFRP, aluminum, and titanium for structural drilling, sanding, trimming, and shimming.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • 4+ years of related work experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., vocational school/Associate degree + 2 years related experience, Bachelor’s degree, etc.).

  • 7+ years of experience in aviation/aerospace.

  • 7+ years of experience using software applications such as internet browsers, email, Microsoft Office, and/or specialized computer systems.

  • 7+ years of experience following detailed work instructions and reading/interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications in English.

  • 7+ years of experience in advanced manufacturing, technical, or mechanical trades using basic hand, power, and pneumatic tools.

  • 7+ years of experience with structural parts fabrication and assembly processes.

  • Ability to perform physical activities including: flexion/extension, kneeling, bending, overhead reaching, head/neck rotation, standing, twisting, walking, climbing/balancing (stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, inclined surfaces), crawling, and crouching/squatting.

  • Ability to carry/lift up to 35 pounds.

  • Ability to work with high-hazard chemicals.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
