JOB TITLE: Engineering Vehicle Test Lead - ONSITE
LOCATION: Mojave, CA
SALARY: $120,500-206,000/year

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Summary: 

  • Collaborate with systems engineering, test engineers, and program leadership to define and implement vehicle integration and test activities

  • Work with a multi-disciplinary engineering team to maintain an up-to-date test objective database

  • Ensure vehicles are tested in a manner that meets all system requirements

  • Participate in test planning, Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs), test execution, troubleshooting, and post-test data reviews

  • Architect and optimize data review methodologies and develop data review and analysis tools

  • Understand subsystem connections and dependencies

  • Set and maintain standards for test planning and documentation

  • Demonstrate honesty, responsibility, and integrity in all commitments

Requirements:

  • MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Familiarity with CAD (SolidWorks preferred)

  • Familiarity with configuration management systems (Jira)

  • Familiarity with requirements management systems (Jama, Cameo, DOORS, etc.)

  • Experience working in small, dynamic engineering teams with multiple responsibilities

  • Previous vehicle integration, ground, or flight test experience

  • Familiarity with avionics, instrumentation, software, fluid systems, liquid rockets, and/or structures (priority in that order)

  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

  • Travel: Estimated <10% in support of program initiatives

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience as a Test Conductor

  • Experience contributing to systems engineering content for technical reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR)

  • Experience maintaining aerospace industry standards for vehicle configuration and changes

  • Experience with air-launched hypersonic vehicle development

  • Technical risk identification, management, and mitigation experience

  • Experience defining, managing, and verifying requirements for hypersonic vehicles with hot-structure airframes

  • Current DoD Secret security clearance

  • Programming experience (MATLAB, Python)

  • CAD experience (SolidWorks preferred)

  • Familiarity with configuration management (Jira) and requirements management (Jama, Cameo, DOORS)
