JOB TITLE: Mechanical Fabrication & Assembly Technician

Summary: 

• Regular and predictable attendance is required

• Support building activities for mechanical assemblies, heavy structure drill-out, bonding, fastener installation, component assembly, and wire harness installation

• Build, modify, install, troubleshoot, and repair components and structural assemblies for production

• Bridge hands-on mechanical work with execution of planned tasks through work orders, designs, computer models, processes, and procedures

• Fabricate and assemble components using standard hand/power tools and precision instruments

• Maintain accurate documentation of completed work, inspections, and non-conformances

• Collaborate with engineers to suggest design changes and process improvements

• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, quality standards, and configuration control

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED

• Technical diploma, associate degree, or equivalent experience in aircraft maintenance, machine trades, or manufacturing technologies

• Experience with composites, titanium, sheet metal, riveting, fastening, wiring, tubing, and basic machining

• Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and technical data

• Use of tooling such as torque wrenches, countersinks, drills, deburring tools, and calibrated equipment

• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication with engineers and teammates

• Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Skills:

• A&P certification, specialty training, or equivalent experience
