JOB TITLE: Avionics Technician

PAY RATE: $34-38/hour

Job Details:
Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)
Shift Options:
1st Shift: Monday–Thursday | 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday | 4:30 PM – 3:00 AM
Weekend Shift: Thursday–Sunday | 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:
Install and test electrical harnesses and avionics components
Route and secure electrical wiring and cables
Terminate wires and cables using approved methods
Perform operational and functional checks of avionics systems
Troubleshoot and repair electrical and avionics systems based on assigned work area
Perform continuity testing and system-level testing
Conduct soldering and termination operations
Occasionally support general mechanic installations, inspections, and testing as required
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
Avionics and/or harness modification experience required
Fighter aircraft experience preferred (F-16 strongly desired)
Must be able to work any shift based on program needs (assigned after training)
Must be detail-oriented and capable of working in a fast-paced production environment
Ability to follow detailed work instructions and engineering documentation
Willingness to support program needs across shifts and tasks
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
Preferred Skills:
Avionics testing experience (6+ years preferred)
Active security clearance not required, but a plus
F-16 or fighter aircraft experience (F-16, F-18, F-22, F-35)
IPC solder certification
J-STD-001 solder certification
Significant experience using microscopes for component placement and soldering
