JOB TITLE: Avionics Technician
LOCATION: Greenville, SC
PAY RATE: $34-38/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

  • Shift Options:

    • 1st Shift: Monday–Thursday | 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM

    • 2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday | 4:30 PM – 3:00 AM

    • Weekend Shift: Thursday–Sunday | 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Qualifying Questions:

  • Are you a U.S. person as defined under ITAR regulations?

  • Do you meet the educational and experience requirements for this role?

  • Can you commute to the job location or relocate if necessary?

Summary: 

  • Install and test electrical harnesses and avionics components

  • Route and secure electrical wiring and cables

  • Terminate wires and cables using approved methods

  • Perform operational and functional checks of avionics systems

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and avionics systems based on assigned work area

  • Perform continuity testing and system-level testing

  • Conduct soldering and termination operations

  • Occasionally support general mechanic installations, inspections, and testing as required

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Avionics and/or harness modification experience required

  • Fighter aircraft experience preferred (F-16 strongly desired)

  • Must be able to work any shift based on program needs (assigned after training)

  • Must be detail-oriented and capable of working in a fast-paced production environment

  • Ability to follow detailed work instructions and engineering documentation

  • Willingness to support program needs across shifts and tasks

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Skills:

  • Avionics testing experience (6+ years preferred)

  • Active security clearance not required, but a plus

  • F-16 or fighter aircraft experience (F-16, F-18, F-22, F-35)

  • IPC solder certification

  • J-STD-001 solder certification

  • Significant experience using microscopes for component placement and soldering
